27 Nov Enhanced Foster Care holds first Development Panels with carers

Enabling foster carers to engage in how we develop our service is at the heart of the organisation’s vision for the future. Development and Improvement Panel meetings provide the ideal platform for carers to share their views on all aspects of operations – and crucially explore changes that will deliver the best outcomes.

The first meetings were held in October and November for South and South West carers, with healthy debates that reflected on Enhanced Foster Care’s service evolution and positively looked to the future. Changes are already being implemented as a result, including the creation of a recruitment team with foster carers as part of the interview panel. In the New Year we will be looking at how the Development and Improvement Panel meetings can also include our foster children as well.
